To Belong
A family of four
Once five
Sits in silence
All loud inside
She asks to leave
And as she runs up the stairs
She feels them
All fade away
As she cries in bed
She remembers every moment
She has felt like this.
Like she just wants to run away but she’s locked in chains
And even though the other way hurts more it’s a different kind of pain
An insecure anxiety
But at least she could
Feel safe
